A very spooky hello again! I've been making some Halloween preparations recently, and I'm excited for the big day to come! I've got some cuute decorations set up with a light up jack o lantern, a little witchy crow plush, and even a Halloween-themed snow globe ^^ I've also been doing some costume prep too - I'm gonna be dressing up as Sniper from TF2 as part of a group costume with a friend, and I'm looking forward to it! We've got lots of fun activities in store, and I've got some fun scary movies queued up for the next week or two as well >:)

Speaking of, my current list at the moment is Paprika (not really Halloweeny horror, but more psychological), Perfect Blue, and Malignant, where I've heard really good things about all three.

Oh! And another note on the topic of movies, I watched I Saw the TV Glow recently! I'd been wanting to watch it for months, and when it finally became available for me, I lunged at the chance, haha - It was a bit hard to follow in the early half, but the sense of dread that built through the whole thing was really well done. The colors, the framing, the *soundtrack*, oh my gosh. They were all really enjoyable, and my favorite thing about the whole movie was that it didn't really get *scary* scary until the very end (at least in my opinion).

God. Just the whole theme of you being the only person who can bury and unbury yourself after discovering a fundamental truth, and running away from it will suffocate you. The "once you reailze, you're screaming for help, you're dying, and then you'll apologize for the whole thing" really stuck with me because fuck, I've done that!! I'm *doing* that!!! The final quote where Owen said "sometimes when i work late nights at the movie theater, i think about what she said and if it's true. what if i really am someone else? someone beautiful and powerful, but it's just fantasy, it's kid stuff" GODDD. It was really carthartic, ripped out my guts, and gave me lots to go over afterwards - I thoroughly enjoyed it ^^
